I took my lawn mower to be repaired, I live in the neighborhood and wanted to support a local business. About and hour later I decided to sell it for parts so I went back to get my mower . When the associate was refunding my deposit he said he had to charge me $5. I ask why as they hadn't started to work on my mower. He said I'd have to ask the owner Vince . I did ask and Vince and he became very argumentative , stating I had to pay for the sales tag they placed on the mower. I ask for my mower back and he was totally ignorant about it because he had blocked the storage area with plant carts and didn't want to move them. I couldn't believe an owner would be acting so rude and disrespectful to a customer for just cancelling a repair. I will not be going back to this store and I see there are other similar complaints about his behavior. He doesn't deserve our business.

Shop boy Vince displays undeniable commitment to hardware by being a tool himself. Deeply territorial about his tiny parking area--see tales of his Eastwood-wannabe “Get off my lawn!” fits from earlier reviewers--enjoys trying to boss customers around; gets handsy and impudent if feeling threatened; guy needs Customer Service 101 retake.

Unfortunately the owner, Vince, doesn’t care about making his customers feel unwelcome. I parked and went in to buy something, came back out and sat in my car to send a few texts before I started driving. (I was actually texting a friend to ask if she wants me to go back in the store and buy her a shovel..) Vince came out and told me to get out of his parking lot since it’s for customers. He didn’t seem to care or believe me that I was a customer and was considering going back in to buy another item! Very weird to be driving away his own paying customers. I’m sorry that I wasn’t aware of the unspoken rule of a time limit for his parking lot. Overall a dirty, tiny store with not much selection. Better off going to Ace Hardware.

Closed...couldn't really rate them. Wish they would have updated their Google page and/or website! Would have saved me a 20 min one way drive. Lesson learned...should call before venturing out to smaller stores.

Vince... a very gregarious and knowledge owner/salesperson. It was a pleasure visiting his store for the first time and meeting him. I learned it was a family business that he's now run for decades. The store is packed to the ceiling and displayed attractively out front, with just about everything you'd need/expect in a hardware store (not lumber yard.) I'd called in and he was able to salvage the correct part for my lawn mower from one that was located "out back." He saved me approx. $20 by getting me the handle I needed, which didn't have it's own individual part number, without having to by the whole self-propel control unit. I will return.
